Helen Anderson, 66 year old Owasso resident and former Mooreland resident, died November 27, 2020. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 5, 2020 in the Mooreland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Helen Ruth (Wright) Anderson, was the daughter of Thomas Z. and Mary Grace (Seymore) Wright. Helen was born on November 24, 1954, she was reared in Mooreland and the Woodward area. She attended school in Mooreland and Woodward, graduating from Woodward High School. She attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. Helen then enrolled in the nursing program at High Plains Technology Center, and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Helen was united in marriage to Steven Ralph Peil on June 30, 1972 and they welcomed into their lives two sons, Thomas Dustin and Adonis Dedric. The family continued to live in Mooreland as Helen pursued her nursing career and raised her sons. She later moved to Owasso, Oklahoma to be near her sons, and continued to practice nursing, especially in the home field.Helen loved her family and friends, as well as her patients over the years, many of whom have related that she had a wonderful (bedside manner) which was very comforting to them in their time of need. She was proud of her sons and grandsons, and enjoyed attending their various athletic events as well as other activities. She was a great mother to her sons and grandsons, a caregiver to many, and a joy to her friends and family. She will be missed.
Helen is survived by one son, Thomas Dustin Peil; grandsons, Hunter Peil, Cruz Peil, and Jaylon Rodriguez; brother, Thomas Z. Wright II (TZ) and wife Vicki; nephews, Uly Wright and Yancy Wright, other family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Z. Wright and Mary Grace (Seymour) Wright; and son, Adonis Dedric Peil.
