Woodward, Okla. — FRANCES HEPNER, 89 year old Woodward resident, died Thursday, March 6, 2008 in Crystal Wood Manor in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m. Saturday, March , 2008 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Rodney Shields officiating. Burial will be in the Haskew Cemetery north of Mooreland under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Frances Louise (Lile) was born November 12, 1918 to Henry Francis and Lucy Jane (Walters) Lile. She grew up on a farm northof Freedom and attended a country school, graduating from the eight grade in the sring of 1932. In the fall, she enrolled as a freshman at Freedom High School where she graduated in 1936. Frances was married to Jess Hepner, a prominent rancher, on December 5, 1944 and they made their home close to the West Union School and church south of Freedom. Their home was blessed with three children, Rita Jo, Marvin and Travis.
Frances was a member of the Bible Missionary Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jess on February 25, 1978, her parents and a brother Clarence Lile.
Frances is survived by her immediate family Rita Jo and Elmer Maddux of Mooreland; Marvin and Ruth Hepner of Woodward; Travis and Leah Hepner of Mooreland; her grandchildren, Ronni Bambi Poe of Dallas, Texas; Nancy Maddux, Marlene Hepner both of Woodward; Dallett Maddux, Tasha Lively and husband Ken, Grant Hepner and wife Sam; Trever Hepner all of Mooreland; 7 great granchildren; two great great grandchildren; one sister-in-law Nina (Lile) Meade of Olathe, Kansas; other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be given to the Mooreland First United Methodist Church, Music Department with the funeral home accepting the memorials.
