Danny R. Chumley, 60 year old Woodward area resident, died Monday, May 4, 2015 as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015 in the Ft. Supply School Gymnasium with the Reverend Donnetta Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
Danny Richard Chumley was born on July 11, 1954 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Kenneth Ray Henry and Wanda Jean Crow Henry. Danny grew up in Ft. Supply and graduated from Ft. Supply High School in 1972. He was inducted into the United States Navy but was medically discharged shortly thereafter. Danny was united in marriage to Donna Kay Ray on October 18, 1982 in El Reno, Oklahoma. They made their home in Yukon but moved wherever the oilfield sent them before settling in Woodward.
Danny enjoyed fishing, playing with grandkids and family get togethers. He loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Donna Ray Chumley of the home in Woodward; sons, Kenneth Chumley of Bridgeport, Texas, Sean Chumley of Woodward; one daughter, Tosha Chumley of Woodward; brothers, Steve Henry and wife Nattie of Lafayette, Louisiana, Terry Henry and wife Tracy of Guymon, Billy Henry and wife Vickie of Woodward, Mike Henry and wife Kim of Hallsville, Texas; one sister Deborah Omlstead and husband Howard of Elk City; five grandchildren, Braxton Ruppel, Jayden Chumley, Brysen Spencer Holcomb, Jaxon Chumley, Brantley Chumley all of Woodward; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Henry, brothers, James Henry, Mark Chumley and his grandparents.
