HAROLD WINTERS

12 May 1919 - 30 Jun 2005

The funeral for Harold Steve Winters, 86, of Woodward, will be 10 a.m. today at Billings Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dale Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

He was born May 12, 1919, in Mutual to Steve and Josephine Johnston Winters and died Thursday, June 30, 2005, at Crystal Wood Village.

He lived his entire life in Woodward county. He worked for Woodward Livestock Auction. He also worked 13 years as a park ranger at Boiling Springs State Park, where he was honored as Ranger of the Year. He also was a night watchman at Woodward Hospital. He married Iola Maxine Goodman May 24, 1945.

Surviving are his wife, Maxine; one daughter, Darla Wyatt of Woodward; two sons, Ival Lynn Winters of Edmond and Konnie Winters of Balko; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, one granddaughter, four sisters and five brothers.
