Woodward, Okla. — Inez Weber, 93 year old Woodward area resident, died Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the Woodward Regional Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the Elmwood Cemetery with Melvin Rittenhouse officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Bertha Inez (DePue) Weber was born on March 30, 1917 in Curtis, Oklahoma to James Irvin and Zela (Madden) DePue. Inez was reared on a ranch north of Mooreland and attended the Silver Springs School near the Dillon Community. She was united in marriage to Merle Henderson in June of 1935 and to this union one daughter, Dixie was born.
Inez was married to Archie Kammerzell and after his death she was married to Robert Weber. She made her home in the Haskew Community and she later lived in Woodward. Inez was a Hairdresser and worked out of Woodward and Fort Supply.
Inez was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Woodward. She enjoyed fishing, traveling and being with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Dixie Soupene and her husband George of Freedom; two grandchildren, Ritchie Soupene and wife Dana, Tamara Dormire; two great-grandchildren, Klody and Reid Dormire; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Willard DePue and Jack DePue, four sisters, Opal Hines, Vivian Peterman, Rozella Day and Thelma Glenn.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
