Jerry Tucker, 75 year old Woodward resident, died Wednesday, May 20, 2020 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 23, 2020 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Jerry Edgel Tucker was born on August 6, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; he was the son of Seth Edgel and Opal Bernice (Fain) Tucker. Jerry attended school in Del City. After school, he enlisted in the Untied States Navy serving from 1962 until 1966. After being honorably discharged, he began his career in the oilfield. Jerry worked mainly as a Wireline Engineer working mostly for L.R. McBride Engineering. He was united in marriage to Susan Kay Cross on April 15, 1999 in Woodward, where they made their home.
Jerry enjoyed riding his motorcycle, reading watching Jeopardy. His greatest joy were his grandchildren. In his younger days he enjoyed riding horses and traveling.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Susan of the home; daughters, Brittany Craddock and husband Richard, Jr.; Laura Barnett and Joey Findley both of Tulsa; Dana Luddington and husband Lonn of Freedom; son, Dex Barnett and wife Sidney of Woodward; ten grandkids; seven great-grandkids; other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Carol Ann Tucker Brown and Beverly Joyce Tucker Stricklen.
