Mary Anne Triplett, 95 year old former Woodward resident, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019 in Edmond. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February26, 2019 at the Elmwood Cemetery with Reverend Ronnie Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mary Anne (Quinby) Triplett was born on February 14, 1924 in Selman, Oklahoma to Albert Murrell and Lois Immel Quinby. She grew up in Selman and graduated from Selman High School. Mary Anne was united in marriage to Coalbert Franklin Triplett on July 8, 1942 in Alva, Oklahoma. The family moved to Woodward in the mid 1970's where they owned and operated Triplett Oil Company. Mary Anne worked at the Woodward Hospital as a Nurse.
She was a long time member of the First Christian Church of Woodward. Mary Anne enjoyed painting, making pottery, but most of all she loved being with her family.
She is survived by one son Larry Triplett and wife Pat; four grandchildren, Mark Triplett, David Triplett, Page Quickel, and Stacy Davis; five great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Mary Anne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Coalbert in 1993 and son Albert Triplett in 2009.
