John H. Stow, 77 year old Vici resident and former Woodward resident, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 in Vici. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2021 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Gary Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
John Howard Stow was born on October 14, 1943 in California to Martin Leonard and Betty Nina (Holeman) Stow. John grew up in Modesto, California and graduated from high school there. He was a small business owner in Tracy, California, working on and selling Kirby Vacuum's and sewing machines. He was united in marriage to Patti Lorene Johnson on July 17, 1983 in Canadian, Texas. They made their home in Woodward and continued living there until moving to Vici a couple of years ago. John later became a truck driver and did that until his retirement.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the JayCees. He enjoyed playing music, traveling and enjoying time with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and other family.
He is survived by his three daughters and their spouses; nine grandchildren: five great-grandchildren; one brother Harvey Stow and his wife of Edmond; one sister Janice Arnett of California; other relatives and many friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Patti Stow, sisters Janie Rutherford and June Holland, and his granddaughter, Elise Scott.
May you travel with your guitar to be reunited with your family in Heaven and may you dance and play music as you did on Earth.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
