Michael Eugene Steuart, 71 year old Woodward resident, died Monday, November 6, 2017 in Enid, Oklahoma. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2017 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Preston Hickman officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
Michael Eugene Steuart was born June 20, 1946 in Woodward, Oklahoma. He was the child of William Davis and Talitha Lorena (Powell) Steuart. He grew up in Woodward, and graduated with the class of 1964. Michael was blessed with eight children.
Growing up, Michael loved camping and fishing. He also loved music and was the drum major for the Woodward High School Marching Band. One of his great loves was reading Stephen King novels.
Michael worked for many years with great success in sales. Later in life, he set up a construction company which he ran until his death. Michael was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, William and Talitha Steuart, three brothers, John Dobyns, Bill and Larry Steuart, and his son Sean Steuart. He is survived by children Bryant Wade Steuart and wife Cindy of Seiling, Oklahoma; Mica Brockman and husband Gary of Little Elm, Texas; Megan Rogers and husband Loyd of Enid, Oklahoma; Jeran Steuart and wife Krista of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Adam Steuart and wife Nicole of Enid, Oklahoma; Mindl Steuart of Woodward, Oklahoma; Mignon Reed and husband Presley of Enid, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren; Ashley Lawrence, Briauna Steuart, William Stillwell, Lillianna Horner, Mason Stephens, Alexa Bell, Emma Bell, Aubree Bell, Peyson Reed, Ariella Rogers, and Rory Steuart; three great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
