Paula May Pierson Steuart

On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, Paula May Pierson Steuart lost her battle with cancer while surrounded by loved ones. Paula was born February 21, 1950, in Buffalo, Oklahoma. She was the child of Merlene Tindell Pierson and Norma Helen Derr Pierson. She grew up in Woodward graduating with the Class of 1968. Paula attended Southwestern State University for a period before marrying. She was blessed with 6 children. Paula worked as a bookkeeper most of her career including the last several years at Ace Hardware.

Paula reveled in the fact that for a short while in her youth she grew up in a dug-out house near Kibby, Oklahoma. Paula was heavily invested in the activities of her children and grandchildren be it sports, band, dance, or academics. After raising her children, Paula went back to college, graduating from Northwestern State University with a degree in History. Her greatest joy always came from her children whom she loved deeply. Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Merlene and Norma Pierson; three sisters, Shirley Rutledge, Billie Jean Scheidemantel, Sandra Jo Pierson. She is survived by 6 children Mica Brockman and husband Gary of Little Elm, Texas; Megan Rogers and husband Loyd of Enid, Oklahoma; Jeran Steuart and wife Krista of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Adam Steuart and wife Nicole of Enid, Oklahoma; Mindl Steuart of Woodward, Oklahoma; Mignon Reed and husband Presley of Enid, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren Michael Stillwell, Lillianna Horner, Mason Stephens, Alexa Bell, Caed Reed, Emma Bell, Caleb Reed, Aubree Bell, Ariella Rogers, Peyson Reed, and Rory Steuart; 3 great-grandchildren Jaxton, Emberlee, and Oliver Shaddox; one sister, Merlene Marston. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the Billings Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Donnetta Hunter officiating. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
