Wanda Lea Soliday, 81 year old Claremore and former Fort Supply resident, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026 in Tulsa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery.
Wanda Lea (Jones) Soliday was born on October 5, 1944 in Albany, California to Marvin William and Georgia (Marling) Jones. She grew up in Whittier, California before moving to Phoenix, Arizona and then settling in Fort Supply. She was united in marriage to Lowell "Doc" Soliday. Wanda worked for the State of Oklahoma in food service until an injury forced her to retire. She remained in Fort Supply until 2009 when she moved to Oklahoma City and then to Claremore in 2011.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Donna Newton, brother Bill Jones and sister Deloris.
She is survived by one son James Johnson of Claremore; daughter Jodie Grogan and husband Johnny of Guthrie; grandchildren: Michael Helfer, Brandon Ramage, Cody Newton, and Tyson Newton; other relatives and friends.
