Terrie Lynn Stewart-Snell, 62 year old Woodward resident, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in Oklahoma City, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2017 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Scott Ware officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Terrie Lynn Stewart was born July 18, 1955 in Woodward, Oklahoma; she was the daughter of Wilburn Isaac and Betty Louise (Smith) Stewart. Terrie grew up in Woodward and attended Woodward Public Schools, where she received her high school diploma. She was united in marriage to David Wayne Taylor on July 18, 1973. They were blessed with four children, David, Charles, Bryan, and Amy. Terrie worked for Cudd Quarter Horses Ranch for over ten years. She loved working with horses.
She was united in marriage to Jerry Don Snell on December 26, 2009 in Woodward, Oklahoma. They were blessed with one daughter, Kaylynn Snell. They made their home in Woodward.
Terrie was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed knitting, hanging out with friends and family, and drinking beer with friends. She was a member of the A.B.A.T.E. Chapter 69. Terrie loved spending time with her mom, her kids, her dog Lola, and her best friend LD and Donna Stewart and Sam girl.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Louise Howe of Yukon; her mother-in-law, Bettie Eastin; three sons: David and Donna Taylor of Woodward, Charles and Dixie Taylor, Bryan Taylor of Woodward; two daughters: Amy Taylor-Ferguson and husband Jason of Woodward, Kaylynn Snell of Yukon; ten grandchildren, Ashli, Devin, Ethian, Kaitlynne, Krisslynne, David Jr., Darin, Jasney, Zachariah, and Kiahlynne; one great-grandchild Journey; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Don Snell, her father Wilburn I. Stewart, and step-father Ed Howe.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking the memorial contributions be made to A.B.A.T.E. with the funeral home accepting the contributions on behalf of the family.
