Milton Charles Rose

September 30, 1949 ~ December 27, 2018

Milton Rose, 69 year old Woodward resident, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at his home in Woodward. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Elmwood Cemetery with Reverend Shannon Davis officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Billings Funeral Home.

Milton Charles Rose was born September 30, 1949 to Charles and Velma (Wheatley) Rose in Newman, California. He was raised by his mom and her husband Andy Bolin and grew up in Perry, Oklahoma, Perryton, Texas, and Woodward, Oklahoma. He attended Woodward schools and graduated in 1969.

He was united in marriage to Denise Schaeffer on July 20, 1973 at the First Christian Church in Woodward, Oklahoma. They made their home in Woodward and were blessed with one son, Nathan. Milton worked in construction, the oil field, and was a hunting and fishing guide for many years.

Milton enjoyed traveling with his wife and family, picking antiques, hunting and fishing trips with close friends, and cooking on the grill. He loved being outdoors, fly fishing, quail hunting, bear hunting, and elk hunting. Milton loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson Kash.

He is survived by his son, Nathan Rose and wife Natalie of Woodward; one grandson, Kash Rose of Woodward; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Velma Bolin and step-father Andy Bolin and his wife Denise Rose on April 5, 2018.
