Robert "Bob" James Robinson

August 20, 1933 ~ September 12, 2018

Bob Robinson, 85 year old Woodward resident, died Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday September 15, 2018 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Scott Ware officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with the United States Army providing military graveside rites.

Robert James Robinson was born on August 20, 1933 on a farm near Freedom, Oklahoma; he was the son of Hugh William and Nancy Elizabeth (Stout) Robinson. Bob grew up on the farm in the Haskew Community near Freedom. He graduated from Woodward High School with the class of 1951. Bob was united in marriage to Veralee Jamison on June 3, 1951 in Woodward, Oklahoma, they made their home in Waynoka. Bob served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1953. In 1957 Bob and Veralee returned to Woodward, where they have remained since. Bob worked various jobs until 1961, when he went to work for Michigan-Wisconsin Pipeline which later became ANR Pipeline. He retired from ANR in 1994.

Bob enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, farming and he always had a horse. He spent many hours working with his horses.

Bob is survived by his wife Veralee Robinson of Woodward; son, Robert L. Robinson; daughter, Leigh Ann Huckins and husband Allen all of Woodward; three grandchildren, Charles M. Hixon; Jayme L. Lowry; and Kody J. Shoff; two great-grandchildren, Jagger Lowry; Kaylee Jo Hixon; several nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Hugh W. Robinson, Jr. and a sister, Mary Lou Scott.
