Kathleen (Williamson) Roach was born on July 14, 1949 to Claude Ellis and Emma Catherine (Bedell) Williamson at her grandma and grandpas house south of Slapout, Oklahoma in Beaver County. Kathleen grew up in Gate, Oklahoma and played basketball, softball and was a cheerleader at Gate. The family moved south of Gate between her Sophomore and Junior year and Kathleen went to school in Laverne. Kathleen was Miss Laverne in 1966. She graduated from Laverne High School in 1967. She was united in marriage to Claude Roach at the Fairview United Methodist Church, southeast of Slapout, Oklahoma on October 23, 1966. While Kathleen was waiting for Claude to get home from Vietnam, she attended the Woodward Beauty College. She then moved to Fort Hood, Texas until Claude finished out his tour of duty in the Army. They moved to Okmulgee where Claude went to school. After his graduation they moved to St. Louis, Missouri. They moved to Woodward in 1972. Claude went to work for Horn Body Shop in Mooreland and Kathleen opened her own upholstery business (which she hated). In 1975 they bought the Body Shop from Glen Coleman, which they renamed Roach Body Shop. She worked there until her retirement in 2020.
She enjoyed going to sporting events and one year she went to over 100 basketball games to watch Kaleb, Kelsi and her grandkids. Kathleen went to more races than she could count and she wasn't afraid to try to kick someone's butt for messing with her kids and grandkids at the races. She loved to travel and had been to Hawaii eight times, Mexico three times, the Bahamas one time, Jamaica two times and sailed on a cruise twice. She loved her family and spent as much time with them as she could. Kathleen was a Huge Trump supporter and wanted everyone to know that her vote should not be counted Democrat in the 2024 election. When Kathleen was in the hospital they would ask her questions. When they asked who the President was, her heart rate would go up and she would say "Her President was Donald Trump"!
She is survived by her husband Claude Roach of the home; children: Lori Kenny and husband Jeff, Mike Roach and wife Faith, Kelli Roach, Kaleb Roach and wife Sierra, Kelsi Roach all of Woodward; grandchildren: Jeff and Jennica Kenny, Brandon and Kara Kenny, Cody and Kelsey Kenny, Mikayla Kenny, Kadee Kenny, Jordan and Emily Murlin, Garrett and Paige Roach, Slade and Jaci Roach and Laney Roach; great-grandchildren: Parker Roach, Aybree Cargle, Preston Kenny, Caroline Kenny, Grace Kenny, Easton Kenny; brothers: Stan Williamson and wife Delonda of Okmulgee, Charlie Williamson of Woodward; brother-in-law, Jim Roach and wife Rowena of Woodward; sister-in-law, Janice Thomason and husband Eddie of Selah, Washington; other relatives and many friends.
