Christopher Marc Riffel was born July 28, 1977, in Shattuck, Oklahoma, to Darrel and Betty (Hawthorne) Riffel. Chris attended elementary school in Woodward, Oklahoma, until his parents moved to Guymon, Oklahoma, when he was eight years old. He moved with his parents many times, attending school in Edmond; Austin, Texas; Newcastle; and Pagosa Springs, Colorado, before returning to Woodward. He graduated from Woodward High School in 1995.
Upon graduation, Chris joined his parents in the restaurant business, helping them operate JB's Steakhouse. He later became general manager of the steakhouse and owned it after his parents' retirement. Chris improved and expanded the steakhouse's business until its sale. After selling the steakhouse, Chris moved to Enid and later Tulsa. He worked for JP Morgan Chase as a customer service representative until his death.
Chris believed in God and was a practicing Christian before he died. His son, Ethan, was the joy of his life. He never loved anything as much a Ethan. Chris relished being with family and friends. He had several pets over the years that meant a lot to him. Chris enjoyed camping, fishing and riding ATV's.
Chris is survived by his son, Ethan Riffel of Bethany; brother, Craig Riffel and wife Katresa of Enid; nephew, Colburn Riffel of Golden, Colorado; niece, Kamber Riffel of Fayetteville, Arkansas; former spouse, Amber Morris of Bethany; many loving cousins, second cousins and friends. He will be truly missed.
