On Saturday, May 15, 2021, with his wife by his side, David Richardson, husband, father, Papa, brother and son went to Heaven. Graveside funeral services will be held at the Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward, Oklahoma on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. Services are being directed by Billings Funeral Home.
David Wayne Richardson was born on October 20, 1959 in Winfield, Kansas to Jack and Shari Richardson. He was raised in Winfield, Kansas and graduated from Great Bend High School. David worked in the oilfield industry at Diamond Services most of his life. He later worked for the Winstar Casino for eight years before retiring.
On June 2, 2001 he married the love of his life and his best friend, Carla Richardson. Carla and David had a love like no other and were inseparable. They spent their spare time visiting their children and watching their grandchildren do what they love. His family was his everything and he leaves behind many memories.
David also enjoyed listening to rock and roll, barbequing, working on his yard, and going to the casino. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan with a very ornery personality and the biggest heart.
He is survived by his wife Carla Richardson of the home; father, Jack Richardson of Enid; sons: Joshua Richardson and wife Lexi of Edmond, Brandon Williams and wife Randi of McGregor, Texas, Kevin Williams of Denton, Texas; daughter; PeggySue Brown and husband Kory of Woodward; one sister, Vicki Richardson of Great Bend, Kansas; grandchildren: Jett Richardson, Dylan Brown, Adrian Williams, Dayson Williams, Denton Williams, Tripp Williams, Jazmine Salazar, Joslyn Salazar, Jillian Salazar and one on the way, Josi Brown; other relatives and friends.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Shari Richardson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bass Baptist Hospital Emergency Room Department with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
