Charlotte Richardson, 63 year old Lamont resident, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024 in Tulsa. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 7, 2024 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Charlotte Ruth (Cooksey) Richardson was born on April 17, 1961 in Garden Grove, California to Cecil Ray and Ruth (Christophers) Cooksey. Charlotte grew up in Ridgeway, Pennsylvania and Plainview, Arkansas. She graduated from Plainview-Rover High School in Plainview, Arkansas. Charlotte attended Arkansas Tech University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She later attended the University of Central Oklahoma and received her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education.
She was united in marriage to Craig Richardson on October 20, 1984 in Woodward, Oklahoma. They made their first home in Ponca City, Oklahoma before moving to Billings, Montana, Tonkawa, Oklahoma and Lamont, Oklahoma. Charlotte worked as a first grade teacher in Billings, Montana and Ponca City, Oklahoma and also worked as an Accountant for Conoco. She was the co-owner and was the lead Accountant of Encompass Tech. Design and Encounter Wireless.
She was very active in her church and loved being around her family, especially her grandchildren. Charlotte also enjoyed cooking, homesteading, and helping on the place. Charlotte was Craig's partner in life and in business.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Craig Richardson of the home; two sons: Christopher Richardson and wife My Le, Brian Richardson and Jessica Formato; five grandchildren: Camden Roy Richardson, Naomi Ruth Richardson, Cecilia Ray Richardson, Emily Ann Richardson, Canyon Formato; brother, Richard Cooksey of Blackwell; other relatives and friends.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Cecil Cooksey, and mother-in-law, Joan Thomas and father-in-law, Roy Richardson.
Memorials contributions may be made out to Hope Lodge OKC in Charlotte's name with the funeral home accepting the donations.
