Billy Ann Richards, 82 year old Woodward resident died Monday, April 26, 2015 in Woodward. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, May 8, 2015 in Elmwood Cemetery with Reverend Jim Steenbergen officiating. The Billings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Billy Ann (Saulsbury) Richards was born on December 9, 1932 in Havre, Montana to James Edward and Blanche Clarise (Hamilton) Saulsbury. Billy spent her childhood in Billings, Montana. She also lived in Alaska, California, and Arizona. Billy was united in marriage to George Frank Richards on April 6, 1979 in Tucson, Arizona where they made their first home. Billy and George moved to Woodward, where they reared their family. Billy worked for the United States Government as a secretary before retiring.
Billy enjoyed her friends and always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed driving her purple truck, quilting, crocheting, and gardening.
She attended the Crown Heights Baptist Church.
Billy is survived by her daughter, Mindy McCoy and husband Scott of Woodward; grandchildren, Lacey Varnell and husband Richard; Emily Young; Dani Ratigan; Dalton McCoy and Ashley McCoy;one great granddaughter Bridget Reaves; other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband George Frank Richards, daughter, Alma Lorraine Callas; brother, James Saulsbury Jr
