Larry G. Pruitt, 72 year old Woodward resident, died Monday, November 21, 2022 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2022 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tony Barros officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Larry Glen Pruitt was born October 31, 1950 in Camden, Arkansas to Andrew Jackson and Ruby Lee (Killingsworth) Pruitt. Larry grew up in Camden, Arkansas, Spiro, Oklahoma, and Greenwood Arkansas before his family settled in McAlester, Oklahoma. He graduated from McAlester High School in 1969. Larry attended Eastern A&M in Wilburton, Oklahoma before transferring to Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Larry received his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Computer Science.
He was united in marriage to Linda Sue Stimmel on August 23, 1980 at the First Baptist Church in Woodward, Oklahoma. They made their first home in Woodward before moving to the family farm south of Mooreland. Larry worked for Halliburton and Western before going to work for the Hampton Inn in Woodward. He had to retire because of ill health. Larry enjoyed being with his family and going to church.
He is survived by one daughter, Danielle Ranee Pruitt; one brother, James Pruitt and wife Radeena and their children Lori and John and their families; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margaret Cole and husband Paul; other relatives and friends.
