Donna Joy (Percell) Pratt

Donna Pratt, 88 year old Leesburg, Virginia resident passed away Monday, October 6, 2025 in Virginia. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 pm Friday, October 10, 2025 in the Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Billings Funeral Home.

Donna Joy (Percell) Pratt was born June 18, 1937 to H. Earl and Virginia Eddie (Gardner) Percell in Bennington, Oklahoma. She grew up on a farm near Bennington and attended grade school and junior high at White Sands. Donna graduated from Bennington High School and then attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, Oklahoma with a degree in Education. Donna was united in marriage to Jerry Dale Pratt on November 26, 1969 in Anadarko, Oklahoma. To this union they were blessed with two children, Lowell and Sherri. They made their home in Anadarko and later moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Jenks, Oklahoma, Waukomis, Oklahoma before settling in Denison, Texas until the last couple years when she moved to Leesburg, Virginia.

Donna worked as a Home Economics teacher for many years until becoming a stay at home mom. Donna loved working at the school and seeing all the girls learn to cook, sew, bake and other home economic tasks. She loved to watch the girls succeed. She herself enjoyed sewing, gardening, puzzles, playing games, cross stitch and reading. Donna loved to watch her children find success as children and adults, finding careers and spouses to love them. Being a grandma was everything to her. She enjoyed being able to watch them grow and to hear about their achievements. After retirement Donna and Jerry enjoyed traveling together in their RV.

She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies. Donna liked to volunteer at the church's food and clothing shelter.

Donna is survived by her two children, Lowell Pratt and wife Lisa, Sherri Burkes and husband Mark; two grandchildren, Geoffrey and Beckett Burkes; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jerry.
