JERRY MICHAEL PINKLEY

29 Apr 1951 - 28 May 2015

Memorial: 11:00 AM Saturday, July 18th, 2015 - Billings Funeral Home Chapel

Interment: Saturday, July 18th, 2015 - Elmwood Cemetery

Jerry Michael Pinkley was born April 29, 1951. He passed from this life on May 28, 2015. A Memorial Service will held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2015 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Bryan Shoaf officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Jerry was born in Ironton, Missouri to Mary E. (Johnson) Pinkley and Jerry R. Pinkley. He spent his early years of life in Missouri, California, and Texas. While in Texas he started school in Andrews, Texas. Jerry attended grades two through sixth in Breckenridge, Texas. While in Breckenridge, Jerry Michael was a member of the Boys Choir. One of his fondest memories was when the Boys Choir traveled to Washington D.C. to perform for President John F. Kennedy. They also traveled by train to New Orleans to sing in the “youth by youth” 75th Jubilee.

Jerry and his family moved to Woodward when he was in the 8th grade, and he went to Woodward Public Schools. Jerry lettered in track and graduated from Woodward High School in 1969.

Jerry was married in 1971. To this union were born two sons, Jeremy Ray Pinkley and Jared Levi Pinkley.

He loved his work in the oilfield, working for a Rat Hole Drilling Company. He was also a Licensed plumber and put his talents to work for Shean’s Hardware. Jerry was a salesman for his dad’s trucking company which lead him to Texas to work in the M&J Pinkley Rathole Business, with his brother Mark. In the last few years he went back to his other Love, being a licensed Plumber in Texas.

Jerry loved his Beatles and playing his guitar until he lost his finger in an oilfield accident. This put an end to his guitar playing. Other than spending time with his friends and his beloved dogs, he loved and I mean “Loved” to fish. When you couldn’t find him, he would be at the nearest fishing hole.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Mary and Bill Wiedman, his grandparents, Edward and Elva Johnson and Helen and Ray Pinkley. He leaves behind his father, Jerry R. Pinkley and wife Paula, sons, Jeremy Ray Pinkley and Jared Levi Pinkley; brother, Mark Pinkley and wife Dana; sisters, Susan Miller and husband Eddie, Deborah Lewis, Lori Pinkley DeMichele and husband Mark; many nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews; very special friends: Henry Hubach, Alfonso Campos and Danny Edrington; also a very special neighbor Kay Lynn Hall.

There is a special “fishing hole” in Heaven, waiting just for Jerry.
