Funeral: 10:00 AM Friday, February 5th, 2016 - Woodward Church of the Nazarene
Javier Pena, 21 year old Woodward resident, died Wednesday, February 3, 2016 as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, February 5, 2016 in the Woodward Church of the Nazarene. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Javier Pena-Marino was born on November 19, 1994 to Victor Pena and Guadalupe Marino in Schuyler, Nebraska. Javier spent the first eight years of his life in Nebraska before he moved with his family to Dodge City, Kansas. His family then relocated to Woodward in 2012. Javier graduated from Woodward High School with the class of 2013. After graduation Javier began working for Thinker Schwab Oilfield Services.
Javier had big plans for his future, that included attending college, getting married and having children. He also enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his family and friends.
Javier is survived by his mother and step-father, Luptia Marino and Robert Loya; two sisters, Nancy Rodriguez and husband Saul of Greenfield, California; Giselle Pena of Woodward; one brother, Daniel Yareth Loya of Woodward; his girlfriend, Maria Dolores Garcia of Woodward; grandparents, several aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and many friends.
