Danny Ray Parks

February 10, 1954 ~ May 13, 2019

Danny Parks, 65 year old Woodward resident, passed away after a lengthy illness, fighting hard until the end on Monday, May 13, 2019 in Oklahoma City. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 16, 2019 in Elmwood Cemetery. Interment will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Danny Ray Parks was born February 10, 1954 in Tulsa, Oklahoma; he was the son of Lon Owen and Jackie Marvella (Caruthers) Parks. Danny was reared in Woodward, attended Woodward schools and graduated from Woodward High School in 1974. Danny’s dad taught him the construction business. He worked with his dad and brother Keith, building many houses in the Woodward area. He then worked for BEW Construction in the commercial construction business.

He loved fishing, camping and any outdoor activity. He was an avid OU football fan.

Danny is survived by his mother Marvella Parks of Woodward; sisters, Toni Howe and husband Wayne of Woodward; Judy Hammock and husband Donnie of Cushing; several nieces; nephews; other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lon O. Parks in 2003; brother, Keith Parks in 2018; nephew, Travis Parks; and both sets of grandparents.
