Isidro Benites Ortega, Jr, 38 year old Woodward County resident, died Wednesday, April 15, 2020. Private family graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2020 in the Elmwood Cemetery. Prayer Vigil and Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2020 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Due to the order to restrict public gatherings to 10 people, the family asks that all rules and regulations be abided by. The Rosary and Graveside service will be broadcast live on Billings Funeral Home Facebook page.
Isidro Benites Ortega, Jr was born on January 6, 1982 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Isidro Benites and Aremalinda (Ortega) Benites. Isidro grew up in Woodward and attended Madison Park, Westwood, Highland Park and Woodward High School. He played football when he was younger and he enjoyed hanging out with his family, especially his dad. He and his dad were best buddies and he was always picking him up or boxing with him. Isidro loved making everyone around him laugh. He worked as an Operator, Derrick man, and floor hand in the oilfield for Northstar, Boomer Well Service, I&B Well Service, LLC, and Surge Well Service.
He loved being with his family, especially his boys. They enjoyed getting together, cooking out, fishing, camping, and listening and dancing to music. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Isidro was a person that was very kind hearted. If someone needed help he was there to help them. He enjoyed life especially when he was with his sons and his family. There wasn't a day that when he talked to his parents on the phone he would never forget to tell them he loved them.
He is survived by his parents, Isidro P and Linda O Benites; two sons: Jordan Isidro Benites and Antonio (Blayze) Benites; three brothers: Jason Benites, David Benites, and Dominic Benites; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Basilie Benites and his uncle Tony Ortega.
