Rebecca Jean (Snipes) Odell, daughter of Oscar Fletcher Snipes and Betty Jean (Wright) Snipes was born at Duncan, OK. on October 22, 1952. She passed from this life at the age of 67 years, 11 months and 19 days following a tragic auto accident on October 10, 2020. Fondly known as ‘Becky’, she attended elementary school at Duncan, OK. and high school at Cushing, OK. before furthering her education at East Central University at Ada, OK. She was united in marriage to Royce Odell and their union was blessed with two children, one son Jason Dwight and a daughter, Karri Janeen. Becky's daughter Amanda Sue completed the family.
Over the years Becky lived in Bristow, Lindsay, the Davis-Joy area and Woodward, OK. before moving to her current home in Pauls Valley, OK. She was employed at H & R Block in Woodward, OK., for over 25 years and also worked as a resident care giver for the mentally challenged. Becky was of the Baptist faith and was baptized at a young age. She loved her family and her grandbabies were her pride and joy. She was very much allergic to housework and computer games were her everyday entertainment.
Becky’s memory will be cherished by her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Jason D. Odell of Noble, OK. and Karrie J. Odell of Pauls Valley, OK. and her grandchildren, Madison C. Marsh, Jason Odell, Jr. and McKinley E. Goodman. Her sister and brother, Sue McCord of Poteau, OK. and Charles Snipes of Woodward, OK. and nieces and nephews, Kristi Peach, Kellie Thomas, Jessica Fuqua and Jennifer and Josh Snipes, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Fletcher and Betty Jean Snipes and her daughter and son in law, Amanda Sue and Justin David Goodman.
