Edwina McBee, 77 year old Woodward resident, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020 in Buffalo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Shannon Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Edwina (Lemke) McBee was born on April 22, 1943 to Edwin and Marguerite (Powell) Lemke in El Reno, Oklahoma. She attended the country school, the Catholic School and later the El Reno public schools, graduating in 1961. She was united in marriage to Don McBee on January 6, 1962. To this union three children were born, Fonda Ann, Brenda Kay and Edwin Lee. Edwina spent her adult life doing kitchen work in many various restaurants. She was an extremely hard worker, working many long hours and raising her three children. She enjoyed watching television, doing word search puzzles and playing games, especially with her grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Wanda Lowery, infant sister, Carolyn Joyce, and her daughter Fonda Hein.
She is survived by her children Brenda Farmer and husband Melton, Eddie McBee and wife Patty; her grandchildren, James Hein, April Farmer, Billy Farmer, Delta Farmer, Alydia Farmer, Cerenity Farmer, Eric Scott, Erin Dreyer, and four great-grandchildren; one brother Gary Lemke and wife Loretta; other relatives and friends.
