Tom Morford, 76 year old Woodward resident died Friday, February 5, 2016 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, February 11, 2016 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Thomas Roy Morford was born on November 3, 1939 in Vici, Oklahoma the son of Willis Henderson and Thelma Mae (Latta) Morford. Tom was reared on a farm in the Vici area. He attended Vici schools until seventh grade when he transferred to Woodward. Tom was united in marriage to Ilene Kay Vaughn on June 4, 1971 in Buffalo, Oklahoma, they made their home in Fort Supply. Tom began his career at Western State Hospital in 1958, retiring in 1992.
Tom look forward to spending time with his family, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his beloved dogs.
Tom is survived by his wife Ilene of the home; four daughters, Tomma Morford of Woodward; Terrie Moss and husband Bobby of Gladiola, Texas; Tammy Morford of Mooreland; Melissa Thompson and husband Robert of Rose, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, Clarissa Fifield and husband Dallas; Jamie Wreath; Jacoby Morford; Tosha Young; Duston Young; Tim Pollord; Thomas H. Morford; Tamarea Smith and husband Tim; Tyler Taylor and Trever Taylor; other family; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Gerald Petschl.
