Judith Sue Moody

January 19, 1941 ~ Feruary 13, 2021

Judith Moody, 80 year old Woodward resident, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Shannon Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery. The service will be broadcast on the funeral homes website and Facebook page.

Judith Sue (Fehrer) Moody was born on January 19, 1941 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Bob Jake and Rena Mae (Bailey) Fehrer. Judy grew up in Fargo and attended Fargo schools through the tenth grade. She then attended Woodward High School and graduated in 1959. She was united in marriage to Dale Edward Moody on May 28, 1960 in Mooreland, Oklahoma. They made their first home in Alva, Oklahoma followed soon after in Lenora, Kansas. They were blessed with two sons: Chad and Todd. The family lived in Satanta, Kansas for seven years and lived in Ashland, Kansas for 30 years before retiring and moving to Woodward. Judy stayed at home with her sons until they were out of elementary school and she then went to work as a Dental Assistant. She and Dale both retired in July of 2000.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Dale and Judy enjoyed traveling. They went to Colorado and Texas for many years in the RV and made friends everywhere they went. She enjoyed craft work, sewing, shopping, organizing, decorating, taking pictures, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dale Moody of the home; two sons, Chad E. Moody and wife Wendy Ranae of Dodge City, Kansas, Todd E. Moody and wife Linda of Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren: Kody Moody, Kelsie Moody, Kyler Moody, and Crosbie Moody; Emily Graves and Meredith Thunberg and husband Gavin; great-grandchildren: Kyle, Kinley, Karson, Knox Thunberg; other relatives and many friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Rena and her step dad, Melvin Miller.
