Janice Anita White Merriman

December 21, 1961 ~ January 16, 2021

Obituary Janice Merriman, 59 year old former Woodward resident, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021 in Sherwood, Arkansas. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2021 at the Elmwood Cemetery. Burial will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Janice Anita (White) Merriman was born on December 21, 1961 in Groton, Connecticut to James Frank and Maysil Raedean (Finchum) White. Being the daughter of a United States Navy member the family lived in many places before settling in Woodward, Oklahoma. Janice graduated from Woodward High School in 1979. She attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years.

She enjoyed helping others, rescuing animals and spoiling her grandchildren. Most of all Janice loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her father, James White; sons: Robert Merriman and wife Alisha, Jonathan Merriman and wife Brooke, and Mark Merriman; one brother David White and wife Linda; two sisters: Julia White, Joyce White; six grandchildren: Madelynn, Hailey, Jonas, Vanessa, Olivia, and Ezra; other relatives and many friends.

Janice was preceded in death by her mother Maysil White, daughter-in-law, Sarah Merriman and grandbabies, Mason and Alexander.
