Hugo Martinez, 49 year old Woodward resident, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025 at his home in Woodward. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2025 at the St. Peter Catholic Church. A Prayer Vigil and Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2025 at the St. Peter Catholic Church. Interment will be held in the Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Hugo Ramon Martinez was born on March 4, 1976 in Chiuhuahua, Mexico to Manuel Martinez Jasso and Maria Manuela Islas. Hugo grew up in Mexico before moving to Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Liliana Salazar on July 21 in Mexico. They made their first home in Mexico and later in Woodward, Oklahoma. He worked for Mike and Faith Roach at Roach's Body Shop as a bodyman for many years and he loved working for them.

He loved spending time with his family and he was passionate about his job. Hugo enjoyed going out to eat always enjoyed having someone around to enjoy a cold beer with.

He is survived by his wife Liliana Salazar of the home; two sons: Hugo Martinez, Eddie Salazar and wife Hadlee; two daughters: Angelica Martinez, Miriam Salazar and Ismael Gutierrez; four grandchildren: Ismael Gutierrez, Jr, Caroline Gutierrez, Sollee Jo Salazar, and Luna Salazar; other relatives and many friends.
