Kenneth Eugene Martin

Kenneth Martin, 94 year old Woodward resident passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025 in Yukon. A private family graveside service will be held in the Elmwood Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm Thursday, April 3, 2025 at the Billings Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Kenneth Eugene Martin was born June 24, 1930 to William Emmett and Reva Irene (Young) Martin in Foyil, Oklahoma. Kenneth grew up in Foyil and on the family farm near Chelsea, Oklahoma. He attended and graduated school in Alluwe, Oklahoma and later went to business college in Missouri. Kenneth was united into marriage to Wanda Lea Carter on March 5, 1955 in Bartlesville. The couple made their home in Delaware, Oklahoma with Kenneth's in-laws before moving to Nowata, Oklahoma, Seminole, Oklahoma and Oklahoma City before residing in Woodward.

Kenneth worked as a clerk for Union Oil until his retirement at the age of 58. He then opened his lawn mower shop at his home. He enjoyed tinkering with his engines, collecting antique small washing machine engines and attending engine shows. He loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda, his parents Emmett and Reva Martin, two brothers Floyd and Dale Martin.

Kenneth is survived by his two children, Dennis Grant Martin; Kae Lynn Martin; one sister, Wilma Johnston; three grandchildren, J.C. Potts and Kat, Mike Potts and wife Skyla, Matthew Potts and wife Ashley; five great grandchildren, Lily Potts, Adalynn Potts, Barrett Potts, Katelynn Potts and Astrid Potts; and many other relatives and friends.

Per Kenneths request, he asks that there be no flowers as he would rather you donate to your favorite charity or take a friend to lunch.
