Kay Lemaster, 76 year old Woodward resident, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 2024 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eric Cox officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the family being present from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery. Gwenda Kay (Black) Lemaster was born on May 24, 1948 in Buffalo, Oklahoma to Chester Galend "Jack" and Dolores Lou (Richardson) Black. She grew up in Buffalo and graduated from Buffalo High School. Kay was united in marriage to James A. "Jim" Lemaster on December 22, 1978 in Woodward, Oklahoma. Kay owned and operated a Ceramic Shop and worked for Beaver Express from 1998 until her retirement in 2018. She was a member of the Living Word Fellowship. She loved spending time with her family and her faith was very important to her. Kay also enjoyed watching OKC Thunder basketball. Kay and Jim were an integral part of Families Helping Families Ministry for many years. She is survived by her husband Jim Lemaster of the home; her mother Dolores Black; son, Chad Lake and wife Teresa; one daughter Carey Lake Welden and husband Shawn, son, James W. Lemaster; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Kay was preceded in death by her son Casey Lake, her father Jack Black, and her daughter, Kim Lemaster Neal.
