Barbara Layfield, 77 year old Woodward resident, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at her home in Woodward. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the Elmwood Cemetery. Burial will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Barbara Ann Layfield, born January 6th, 1945 in Oakland, California to James and Laura (Maize) Bailey. She was preceded in death by Owen Baily (Father), Red Huff (Step Father), Laura Maize Gibson (Mother), Teena Goudy (Sister), Jack Huff (Brother), Jim Huff (Brother) and Michel Bunn Layfield (Son).

She is survived by Norman Layfield of Woodward, OK (husband), Sam Huff of Woodward, OK (Brother) and his wife Kathy, Loyd Bailey (Brother), Sonny Bailey (Brother), Mary Tollison of Smyer, TX (Daughter), Steve Bunn of Rochester, NY (Son), Gary Bunn of Enid, OK (Son) and wife Mary; four grandchildren Jason Bunn, Matthew Tollison, Kevin Tollison, and Kaidden Razien; three great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

She married Norman Layfield in 1989 in Yakamah, Washington. They made their home in Yakamah before moving to Pampa, Texas before settling in Woodward. She always loved helping others, especially animals in need of a home or a meal. Working with foster children or in a nursing home, kept her going and happy. She loved gathering family together for a meal and conversation. It was a joy to hear all her stories and be with her. She enjoyed the company, meal and would always put on a pot of coffee for the duration of the gatherings. She was a wonderful person, wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She will be dearly loved and missed by all who knew her.
