Valree Kropf, 88 year old Woodward resident, died Thursday, December 12, 2019 in Vici. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2019 at the Faith United Methodist Church with Pastor Scott Ware officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Valree (Shearer) Kropf was born on April 13, 1931 in Castle, Oklahoma to Glenn and Velma Leona (Bussey) Shearer. She was reared in Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School. Valree was united in marriage to Billy G. Kropf on November 6, 1948 in Canadian, Texas. They made their home in Woodward and were blessed with three children, Jeannie, Debbie, and Bill Jr. Valree was a stay at home mom who not only took care of her children but helped care for other children in the community at her home.
She was a founding member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, later known as Faith United Methodist Church. Valree was a proud mother and grandmother who loved her family. She was active in the church with missionary work, youth group, and she sang in the choir.
Valree is survived by two daughters: Jeannie Persons of Woodward, Debbie Swafford and John (JP) Probst of Mooreland; one son Bill Kropf, Jr. And wife Theresa of Woodward; grandchildren: Heath Persons and wife Kelli, Sarah Persons and Eric Crawford and Bryce Kropf; great-grandchildren: Jordan Persons, Chandler Persons, Easton Persons, Lennon Persons, and Hudson Persons; one sister Joyce Tucker of Inola, Oklahoma; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Billy G. Kropf in 1986, four brothers, three sisters, grandson Ryan, and two sons-in-law, Dick Persons and Richard Swafford.
