GARY LEE KEEPERS

11 May 1964 - 6 Feb 2015

Funeral: 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 11th, 2015 - Billings Funeral Home Chapel

Interment: 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 11th, 2015 - Elmwood Cemetery

Gary Keepers, 50 year old Woodward area resident died Friday, February 6, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 11, 2015 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

Gary Lee “Red” Keepers was born on May 11, 1964 in San Diego, California to John Stanley and Gladys (Gamble) Keepers. When Gary was young his family moved to Fargo, where he spent most of his childhood and attended school there as well. Gary was united in marriage to Kim Pollett, they made their home in Woodward. To this union one daughter was born, Ashlee. Gary was then married to Carla Nichols in 1998. Gary’s finest quality in life was his work. He was one of the greatest flooring installers in Woodward and the surrounding areas. Gary was the flooring go to man, he knew the business and shared his knowledge with many installers. His talents were many, he installed some of the most detailed showers, back splashes and flooring. He took pride in what he accomplished. Gary will be missed by the flooring industry. He was one of the best in his field.

Garys favorite thing to do was going Jeeping, with his dog, Gracie. He enjoyed fishing holes, the lake and a pool. He would just walk around sometimes in circles just to be outside “with a cold one in his hand” as he would say.

Gary enjoyed spending time with his daughter, sons, grand kids and family. Gary had a kind giving heart and he never met a stranger. He liked to make people laugh with his stories and was quite the prankster in school. Gary loved a good two stepping song, one would come on the radio and he would be ready to “Cut A Rug” as he would say.

Gary is survived by one daughter; Ashlee LaNae (Keepers) Rodriguez and husband Chris of Mooreland, two sons; Robert John Keepers “Bobby” and wife Amy of Vici; Leonard Edgar Keepers “Eddy” and wife Tracy of Clinton; one sister, Jewel Sue Maples; one brother, Michael Ray Keepers; eight grandchildren, Bailee Jo; Blaine; Bridgette; Ki; Cayden; Marley; Bentley; Lenni; several nieces, nephews other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father in 2008, one brother, John Stanley Keepers, Jr. in 2003.

Gary would say to all of us today “ go enjoy life I will see you on the flip side, I’m just enjoying my Dirt Nap”.
