Dora Fay Hunter

December 3, 1947 ~October 7, 1999

Woodward – The graveside service for Dora Fay Hunter, 51, will be 11 AM Monday in Elmwood Cemetery with the Rev. Tony Barros officiating. Arrangements are by Billings Funeral Home of Woodward.

She was born December 3, 1947, in Birmingham, Alabama to Harold and Dorothy Bradley Boyd and died Thursday, October 7, 1999, at her home.

She was raised and attended school in Birmingham. She moved to Woodward in 1979 to work for Red Carpet Inn and later Tregos. In 1980, she went to work for McDonald's in the maintenance department where she continued to work until her death. On December 2, 1995, she married Glen Hunter in Woodward.

She is survived by her husband, Glen of Woodward; three sons, David Abernathy of Oklahoma City, Ricky Abernathy of Bessemer, Alabama, and John Abernathy of Birmingham; one daughter, Doris French of Woodward; two brothers, Harold Boyd of Milan, Illinois, and Peter Boyd of Woodward; three sisters, Dorothy Rinker of Bessemer, Alabama, Carol Byrd and Ellen Leach both of Woodward; and 12 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
