Forest N. Humphrey

March 28, 1912 ~ January xx, 1980

Woodward – Service for Forest N. Humphrey, 67, who died Tuesday in a Woodward hospital, will be at 2 PM Friday in the Chapel of Memories at Woodward. The Rev. Calvin Nicholson, minister of the church of the Nazarene, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery under direction of Good Samaritan Funeral Home, Woodward.

Humphrey was born March 28, 1912, at Gueda Springs, Kansas. On March 3, 1936, he married Iola Smith at Wichita, Kansas. The couple moved to Woodward in 1945. They operated a Café at 7th and Maine in Woodward for two years, later living in Burbank, California, for 23 years. The past seven years, they have lived in Woodward.

Humphrey was a member of the Baptist Church and the Woodward Moose Lodge No. 452.

Survivors include his wife, Iola; his mother, Iva Humphrey, Woodward; one son, J. C., Woodward; a step – son, Sonny Summers, Seattle, Washington; a step – daughter, Mrs. Bobby (Joan) Brockmole, Lake Elsinore, California; eight grandchildren; and eight great – grandchildren.
