Nadine M. Hohweiler, 67 year old Woodward resident, died Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Nadine Marie (Hoskins) Hohweiler was born on December 31, 1946 in Mooreland, Oklahoma to Ira Ernest and Lola May (Leonard) Hoskins. Nadine grew up in the Chester area and attended school there until the 8th grade when she went to Seiling schools. She graduated from Seiling High School in 1964. After graduation, Nadine attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University and received her Bachelor of Science Degree.
Nadine moved to Mosta, Maulta to marry, Dwight Dean Hohweiler. They were united in marriage on October 7, 1969. They were blessed with two daughters, Lisa and Michelle. Nadine taught second grade in Woodward for 25 years, until her retirement in 2001.
Nadine enjoyed gardening and she loved being with her daughters and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She was a member of the Oklahoma Education Association. She looked forward to spending time with her many friends.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Puyear and husband Larry of Tulsa, Michelle Gilliam and husband Brett; four grandchildren, Drew Gilliam, Matt Puyear, Luke Gilliam, and Nate Puyear; one sister Irene Fuytinck of Fort Worth, Texas; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dwight D. Hohweiler on April 25, 2012, and sister, Loneita Mongold.
