Shannon Highfill, 59 year old current Lawton resident and former Woodward resident, died Tuesday, October 15, 2019 in Lawton. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, October 19, 2019 in Elmwood Cemetery with Reverend Mary Davis officiating. Interment will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Shannon Dee (Mullins) Highfill was born on July 26, 1960 in Sacramento, California; she was the daughter of David Eugene and Peggy Evonne (Olivilo) Mullins. Shannon attended school and graduated high school in Sacramento. She then moved to Woodward, where she worked for her grandmother at El Palacio and then for her parents at Marie????????s Villa. Shannon was united in marriage to Jimmie Dean Highfill on June 14, 1980 in Woodward, where they made their home. They were blessed with three children Lindsay, Landon and Lance. She later moved to Lawton.
Shannon enjoyed time spent with family and friends, learning new things, listening to music and tending to her beautiful flower beds. She was a member of the St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Lawton.
Shannon was preceded in death by her parents, David and Peggy Mullins and grandmother, Marie Olivilo.
She is survived by her three children, Lindsay Judkins and husband Chad of Woodward; Landon Highfill and wife Nicole of Edmond; Lance Highfill and wife Jessica of Mustang; five grandchildren, Cambrey Highfill; Callan Highfill; Trenton Judkins; Bailee Highfill; and Ryleigh Highfill; other family and friends.
