Jon Andrew Herring

Jon A. Herring, 63 year old Woodward resident, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024 in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2024 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jason Dirks officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Jon Andrew Herring was born on July 30, 1961 in Mooreland, Oklahoma to Jon Robin and Patricia Ann (Tranosky) Herring. Jon grew up in Ocean Township, New Jersey, Mooreland, and Woodward and attended school in Mooreland and Woodward. He was united in marriage to Trisha Ann Baldwin on August 25, 1984 in Vernon, Texas. They made their home in Woodward. He worked in the oil and gas industry as a Contract Pumper. Jon also worked as a Mechanic at High Plains Tire and Waldrop Engine Service.

He enjoyed stock car racing, going to the casino with Patricia, fishing, and watching football. His favorite times were spent with his family and relaxing at home. Jon loved watching the History channel, building model cars, and he loved war movies.

He is survived by daughters: Natasha Turner and husband John, Carrissa Hyatt; one son, Jon Justin Herring and wife Hayley; grandchildren: Sarah Herring, Jace Turner, Jon Connor Herring, Alexis Ferrel, Raquelle Moore, and Annabelle Moore; one brother James Herring; other relatives and many friends.

Jon was preceded in death by his parents, one brother J.C. Herring and his wife Patricia Ann Herring.
