Upon retirement, Earl & Del moved , back to their roots in Oklahoma and in 2000, Delberta passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Earl was proud to be an active Gideon a Lay Preacher and was a member of Garland Road Baptist Church in Enid Oklahoma. In 2012, Earl was married to Betty Lafitte and they lived in Enid until her death in 2019. For the last year he has lived in Moundville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Moundville, AL where he continued sharing his witness and handing out Gideon bibles. He attended Stewart United Methodist Church with his daughter and son-in-law, Debi and Tommy Martin.

Many, thanks to the loving family we acquired at MHR. Earl loved each and every one of you. To his special Angels - you know who you are and we pray for your life to be richly blessed for the loving way you cared for our daddy.

Due to these unprecedented times, there will be only a private graveside service. If you wish to honor Earls life, please donate to the Gideons International, to Garland Road Baptist Church, Enid, OK, or to Stewart United Methodist Church, Moundville, AL.
