Mary Louise (McNeil) Ham, 93-year-old longtime Woodward resident, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, in Alliance Health, Woodward, following a short illness. Born March 2, 1924, in Harrisburg, PA, she was the daughter of Maurice Driscol and Ruby Fern (Galbrath) McNeil.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan 19, in the chapel of Billings Funeral Home, Woodward, with Larry Masoner, pastor of Mooreland United Methodist Church, presiding. Burial was made in Elmwood Cemetery, Woodward.
Mary grew up in Pennsylvania, Vici, Oklahoma City and Woodward. She was educated in Oklahoma City and Woodward, graduating from Woodward in 1942. She married Gerald L. Ham in Woodward April 8, 1942, before graduating from high school.
Two children were born to Gerald and Mary, Gary Robert and Karen Louise. Mary was a houswife for a number of years, but also found employment at Cowden's Manufacturing and Woodward County Assessor's office.
Mary always enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, rodeos and attending her children's and grandchildren's activities. Being with family and camping gave her the greatest enjoyment in life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald, on February 15, 1990; one brother, Robert, and infant brother, Chester.
Survivors include son Gary and wife, Virginia, of Sharon; daughter, Karen and husband, Tim Schnoebelen of Mooreland; grandsons, Kevin Ham and wife, Cathy, of Woodward, Travis Ham and wife, Michelle, of Woodward, Jason Ham of Seiling, Jeff Schnoebelen and wife, Jennifer, of Mooreland, Jay Schnoebelen and wife, Lindsey, of Skiatook and Joel Schnoebelen and wife, Shawna, of Mooreland, and granddaughters, Robin and husband, Danny Chapman, of Lindsay, and Gina Schnoebelen of Lutz, FL.
Also 22 great grandchildren, Kent Ham, Kurt Ham and wife, Alysha, Korie Ham, Taryn Ham, Taylor Ham, Trace Ham, Rylee Chapman, Shane Chapman, Jessica Ham, Jarrett Ham, Julie Ham, Jacob Schnoebelen, Jared Schnoebelen, Jason Schnoebelen, Janae Schnoebelen; Jordan (Schnoebelen) and husband, Matt Pate, McKay Schnoebelen, Ryker Schnoebelen, Mariah Schnoebelen, Kaden Cable, Cydni Schnoebelen and Avery Schnoebelen, and one great-great grandson, Kyler Ham.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the United Methodist Church of Sharon or Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mooreland with Billings Funeral Home taking contributions.
