Ronald G. Fritzler, 81 year old Woodward resident, passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 in Woodward. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2021 at the Woodward Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Nathan Twyman officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Ronald George Fritzler was born on August 4, 1939 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Henry George and Selma Viola (Kraft) Fritzler. He grew up in Shattuck and graduated from Shattuck High School. Ronald was united in marriage to Connie Sue Fields on July 29, 1967 in Woodward, Oklahoma. They made their first home in Woodward and have lived here since that time. He worked for many years at Homeland until his retirement.
He was a member of the Woodward Church of the Nazarene and was very involved in the church. Ronald served as a Sunday School Teacher and was involved with Promise Keepers. He was very social and enjoyed visiting with people and he loved being with his kids and grandkids. Ronald also enjoyed gardening, reading newspapers, reading the funnys to each grandkid, attending church and was very proud of the tomatoes he grew in his garden.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Connie Fritzler of the home; one son, Jon Scott Fritzler of Broomfield, Colorado; one daughter, Melissa Anne Nelson and husband Brian of Amarillo, Texas; mother-in-law, Phyllis Fields of Woodward; grandchildren: Victoria Fritzler, Shae-Lynn Fritzler, Annabelle Fritzler, Logan Nelson, Lane Nelson, and Loryn Nelson; brothers-in-law: Larry Fields and wife Roberta of Oklahoma City, Phillip Fields and wife Kathy of Kansas City, Missouri, Tim Fields and husband Eddie Walker of Oklahoma City, sister-in-law, Jane Stanley and husband Gary of Woodward; lots of well loved nieces and nephews and very special friends, Verl Louthan and Gary Schwab.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Hennrietta Dunnihoo, Nadine Phillips and father-in-law, James L. Fields.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodward Church of the Nazarene with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
