Tillie Fike, 93 year old Woodward resident and former Kingfisher resident, passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 surrounded by her family A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Saint Peter Catholic Church in Woodward. Private family interment will be held at a later date with the Billings Funeral Home, Woodward in charge of arrangements.
Billie Jean (Tillie) Owens Fike was born on April 5, 1928 in Empire, Oklahoma; she was the daughter of Aaron Columbus and Anna Odessa (Edwards) Owens. Tillie was reared in southern Oklahoma and east Texas. She settled in Kingfisher, Oklahoma where she finished raising her family. Tillie was blessed with five children, Jo Anna, Patricia, Alvia, Michael and Pat.
Tillie worked at Kingfisher Daycare for 30 years. She was very loved by all the children she cared for. Tillie was devoted to her work, she so loved the children often they would cry when they had to go home. She cared for multiple generations of children.
She is survived by her five children, Jo Anna Hull and husband Clarence; Patricia Rother; Alvia Fike and wife Cynthia; Michael Fike; Patrick Fike and wife Cherri; 16 grandchildren, Jim Hull, Stephen Hull, Michael Hull, Jon Hull, Aaron Fike, Lauren Fike, Ryan Fike, Candace Smith, Christy Durkee, Creston Rother, Erica Mercer, Chris Fike, Jeff Fike, Katherine Kaltved, Eric Johnson, and Jenna Johnson; 32 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; many nieces and nephews that loved her dearly, other friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, brothers, Oran Owens, and Earl Owens; sisters, Dorothy Rummage, Karen Delyn, and Patsy Watkins.
