Graden B. Fifield, 66 year old Woodward resident, died Tuesday, May 19, 2020 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2020 at the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, Lincoln Campus with Reverend Jason Dirks officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Graden Bruce Fifield was born on September 25, 1953 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Dallas George and Myrtie Myrtle (Goddard) Fifield. He grew up in Vici and Woodward and attended school in Woodward, receiving his GED later in life. Graden was united in marriage to Kandy Kay Marston on May 25, 1973 in Woodward, Oklahoma. They made their first home in Woodward and later lived in Bethany, Oklahoma and Waco, Texas before moving back to Woodward. Graden worked as a truck driver and equipment operator for the City of Woodward, Harper Sanitation, and Northwestern Oklahoma Solid Waste Disposal Authority. He retired in 2018 to spend more time with his family.
He was a member of the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, where he enjoyed taking care of the children in the nursery. He loved spending time with his son and grandsons and taking road trips with his wife. Graden also enjoyed reading, watching tv and doing yard work.
He is survived by his wife Kandy Fifield of the home; one son, Dallas Fifield and wife Clarissa of Woodward; two grandchildren: Graden Lee Fifield and Nathan L. Fifield; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Rita Airington and husband Bobby, Audry Stewart and husband Gale, Donna Mains and husband Ed, Sondra Oliver, C.L. Marston and wife Nora, J.R. Marston, and Willie Smith; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Dallas LeRoy Fifield.
