Funeral services for Jean Durbin will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2024 in the New Covenant Church with Reverend Ed Dowty officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Laurel (Jean) Durbin was born on October 12, 1938 to Frank and Laurel Gibson. She passed away March 8, 2024 at age 85 years, 4 months and 25 days at home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Jean was the oldest of 4 daughters. She attended elementary school in Natrona Wyoming, junior high school in Casper Wyoming and graduated from high school in Glenrock, Wyoming, where she married Ray Davis in 1956 and had 3 children together. After several years, she moved to Casper where she worked at the Holiday Inn while raising her children. Jean lived in various other places throughout the years but she always loved living around family the most.
Jean's greatest joys in life were spending time with her family, her dog Daisy, listening to Waylon Jennings songs, and keeping in touch with old friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Durbin, father Frank Gibson, mother Laurel White, step-father Bruce White, granddaughter Shawna Jean Padilla, sister Frankie Gibson, and sister Montana Stewart.
She is survived by son Craig Davis and wife Carrie, daughter Laurie Padilla and husband Victor, daughter Peggy Puckett, 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 5 great great-grandchildren.
