WOODWARD - Services for Thelma ruth Damron, 81, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Assembly of God with the Rev. Paul Sharpe officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Good Samaritan Funeral Service.
Mrs. Damron died Friday in a Woodward hospital. She was born in Ashland, Kan., on April 29, 1905, to John and Betty McClain. She and Thomas B. Damron were married Nov. 11, 1923, in Tulsa.
The Damrons made their home in Woodward. She was a member of the First Assembly of God; where she was a Sunday School teacher for 50 years. She also served as a church secretary and other posts.
Her husband died in 1971. Mrs. Damron is survived by two sons, Eldon Damron, Woodward, and Billy D. "Bud" Damron, Albuquerque, N.M.; two daughters, Dortha Nell Brantley, Oklahoma City, and Louise Johnson, Woodward; a brother, Dale "Blackie" McClain, Dodge City, Kan.; a sister, Lola "Dode" Tolifero, Los Animos, Colo.; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
