Donald R. Crites, Sr, 87-year-old Woodward resident, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 in Woodward. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at the Elmwood Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the United States Army Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Donald Ray Crites, Sr. was born on July 23, 1933 in Woodward, Oklahoma to William and Yvonne (Matthews) Crites. He grew up in Woodward and attended Woodward schools. He was inducted into the United States Army and served his country until being honorably discharged. Donald worked for Irwin Auto Company, he painted cars, and he also worked for Razien Metals for many years.
He enjoyed rice crispy treats, watching western movies and playing pool at the Woodward Senior Citizens Center. He loved being with his family, especially Wanda.
He is survived by his significant other, Wanda Rich of the home; one son, Chuck Crites and wife Tina of Woodward; other relatives and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, one half-sister and his son Donald Crites, Jr..
