Graveside: 10:00 AM Saturday, July 18th, 2015 - Elmwood Cemetery
Ila Cornelius, 84 year old Woodward resident, died Wednesday, July 15, 2015 in Woodward. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 18, 2015 in the Elmwood Cemetery with Reverend Jim Steenbergen officiating. Interment will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ila Lee (McCoy) Cornelius was born on November 9, 1930 in New Castle, Wyoming; the daughter of Leander William and Maude Alice (Walker) McCoy. She was united in marriage to E.T. Cornelius on August 4, 1969 in Long Beach, California. They made their home in Huntington Beach, California for a number of years. Ila and E.T. moved to Woodward in 1990 to be near their family.
Ila loved her family and she was very devoted to them. She also enjoyed working on crafts, decorating cakes, painting, and spending time in her flower gardens.
She is survived by two sons, Tom White; Jim White; three daughters, Cleota Lovell; Debra Beets; Kerry Twa; nine grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one brother Rusty McCoy; one sister, Jane Oleson; several other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband E.T. Cornelius on May 19, 2009, one daughter, Donna White, four sisters, and one brother.
